Robin DeSota is the founder and CEO of Palisade Investments, LLC., a SEC Registered Investment Adviser and fiduciary adviser with offices located in Lake Tahoe, Las Vegas, Denver and Seattle. Palisade Investments was recently ranked as the 34th fastest growing investment advisor in the U.S. out of 30,000. Robin also has prior experience working for a national Brokerage firm and a top 401(k) provider.
Early in his career Robin worked for a prominent land planning firm headed by the California State Parks Director. He has a Master’s Degree from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and a bachelor’s degree from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo whom he represented on the cross country and track teams. Robin enjoys travel and outdoor pursuits, including mountaineering, which has taken him to 5 continents and peaks as high as 23,000’. In all of his professional and personal pursuits he strives for innovation, success, integrity and inspiration.
Matthew Stegemiller was a resident of South Lake Tahoe for 10 years in the 1990's and recently returned as a resident two years ago. Matthew owns a company called Nicheco Holdings, LLC, where he serves as it's President. Nicheco Holdings also has holdings in Bomanite International Limited, Advanced Water Technologies LLC and most recently, PRE Presents, dba The Loft, where Matthew serves on the Boards of Directors for all three holdings.
Carl is a strategic thinker, thought leader and innovator in the tourism industry. As the founder and president of SMG Consulting, Carl has developed a range of services including marketing research, strategy and planning, tourism economic analysis, measurement, and organizational change management. Carl is a trusted advisor to CEOs and senior executives throughout the industry.
Carl authors an op-ed page for the local newspaper, has published numerous marketing strategy, tourism and motorcycle touring articles, and is a familiar face at industry conferences as a guest speaker and panelist. He advises for the Recreation, Parks and Tourism Department at San Francisco State University and serves on Visit California’s Research & ROI Committee.
Carl obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from CSU Northridge and a MBA from SFSU. He recently completed Cornell University’s certificate program in Organizational Change Leadership.
He enjoys riding his BMW motorcycle on two lane roads throughout the west, trap shooting, and golf.
Carol Chaplin has served as the Executive Director of the Lake Tahoe Visitors Authority and the Tahoe Douglas Visitors Authority since 2008. Before that, 30 years of hospitality experience in Food and Beverage, Hotel Operations, Sales and Marketing and Attractions. Community Service history (not necessarily chronological) includes; South Lake Tahoe Chamber Board President, Regional Air Service Corporation Chair, Vice Chair of the Snow Committee for Visit California, Tahoe Prosperity Center Board Member, High Sierra Visitors Council Chair and a host of other community service and hospitality related committees. She has been part of the South Lake Tahoe community since 1983 where she raised her two amazing sons and enjoys daily all of the outdoor recreational opportunities the region affords.
Pete Loughlin is The General Manager @ Lake Tahoe Television and Outside Television in Northern California and Northern Nevada he is also a CA Real Estate Broker, Father to 3 great kids and husband to wife of 16 years. Pete helps business build effective branding campaigns via a broadcast medium and social platforms on the highest rated television network in the Lake Tahoe using a visual medium that includes expertise in the Television and Outdoor Recreation industry since 1989. Acting as the General Manager of Outside Television and Lake Tahoe Television which has offices in Lake Tahoe and reaches viewers in Northern Nevada, Northern and Central California via partnerships with 4 different cable operators reaching over 12.5 million viewers impressions daily. Pete got into this line of business in 1991 while working for American Skiing Company While working with the marketing team @ Sunday River, Pete worked on starting a resort based Television station to help resort guests better understand current resort conditions, entertainment, night life and dining options while on vacation or planning a vacation.
When not working at the network, Pete likes to ski, scuba dive, travel and shoot action photography. Pete is very active with his 3 kids and their sports and academic interests. Pete is a trusted business partner although he also been known to take on new challenges, new adventures and is often willing to step outside of traditional comfort zones.
